Napier City Council is planning a small‑scale upgrade to the Norfolk Street playground in Tamatea, and we’re asking the community to help shape what this neighbourhood play space could look like.
This reserve is designed to serve local families within walking distance, offering a modest range of play options and comfortable places to spend time. The site is compact, so any improvements need to be carefully considered. We need your help in guiding decisions about new equipment, pathways, seating, shade and other small amenities.
We want to hear from the people who use the playground most!
Calling all neighbours, local whānau and anyone who enjoys this reserve. Your feedback will help us understand what’s working well, what could be improved and what’s most important for local children and caregivers.
Consultation is open for four weeks. Share your ideas below by completing the online survey, visit our onsite pop‑up session at the playground or come along to our Open House event on Monday 20 April and talk to the team.
