Our annual chip seal maintenance programme was completed during the spring months of October and November 2025. We resealed 11.7km over 28 streets.

Thank you to everyone who slowed down when passing active work sites or driving over fresh chip seal. Your cooperation throughout helped the work programme to run smoothly and to schedule.

If your street is going to be chip sealed, you will be notified and asked to park you car off the road or away from the work area before the chip seal team gets to work. We will be using stop/go to manage traffic through the site. There will be a reduced speed limit of 30km/hr.

Once laid, the chip seal can be driven over slowly, which helps the chips to bond to the road surface. It takes a few days for the seal to settle. We will return to site to sweep up the loose chip and reinstate the road line marking.
